What is GoodGiving.net?
GoodGiving.net is a powerful online resource to inform, empower and enrich charitable giving in the region – benefiting donors, nonprofits and the community at large. The underlying database provides access to information about local nonprofits, including financial, governance and programmatic details. Powered by GuideStar, and supported by Blue Grass Community Foundation staff, data is assembled into information and, over time, matures into a deep knowledge base of nonprofit organizations that provide essential services for this region and beyond. This public, searchable database is a powerful tool for nonprofits to share their stories with the community, as well as supporters, Community Foundation fundholders, prospective donors and funders, increase awareness about the role of nonprofits in our region, and encourage charitable giving. Through this site, visitors will be able to access information and make credit card contributions to local nonprofit organizations. All services are completely free to the public and to participating nonprofits.

GoodGiving.net fulfills the Community Foundation’s mission by providing nonprofit information so donors can give with confidence. GoodGiving.net encourages more strategic giving from our philanthropic community; expands the number of community donors by helping match donor interest with need; increases dollars given by identifying pressing needs and showing donors how their leadership can impact critical issues; advances the nonprofit sector as a whole by strengthening individual agencies and encouraging collaborative partnerships.
