Impact Questions
GoalsHelpWhat is the organization aiming to accomplish? This is the organization's ultimate goal for intended impact.

The Winchester YMCA is committed to Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.  As such improving the health and well-being of those living in the greater Clark County region is a vital part of our mission.  Whether it is providing services within our own walls or community outreach by taking our resources & expertise out into the community, we have a central focus of healthy living and want to insure any and all in our community who want/need to participate are provided resources & opportunities throughout the year.

StrategiesHelpWhat are the organization's strategies for its stated long-term goals?
By developing relationships and collaborations with similar non-profits, local schools & government agencies, businesses, churches, etc. our strategy is to provide community outreach opportunities for those in our region who may not otherwise be able to participate in the variety of programs offered.
The Winchester Y is also being very intentional about determining those areas in the county that are underserved and providing various opportunities for both youth and adults within these areas.
CapabilitiesHelpWhat are the organization’s capabilities for doing this? What resources, capacities, and connections support its progress towards long-term goals? The Winchester Y is going to have to rely on building a bigger donor base and additional grant funding in order to make these outreach programs and expanding our Open Doors program a reality.
IndicatorsHelpHow will the organization know if it is making progress? What are the key qualitative and quantitative indicators against which the organization assesses its progress toward its intended impact? Key indicators of success will be seeing an increase in our annual giving campaign through a broader donor base.  Keeping track of participation numbers generated within the various programs offered.
ProgressHelpWhat has and hasn’t been accomplished so far? We are just beginning the community outreach process.  In the past, the Y has relied solely on programs help within our own walls.  We are going to work, moving into 2016, on expanding our resources and  services out to the community.

The Winchester Y offers programs for both youth and adults throughout the course of the year.  The biggest challenges our Y faces is lack of funding for facility repair/upkeep and the continued growing demand for financial assistance in order for many to participate.
