Impact Questions
GoalsHelpWhat is the organization aiming to accomplish? This is the organization's ultimate goal for intended impact. Professional Life Coach, Inc. would like to offer quality mental health services to underserved (minority, low income, underinsured) communities in Central Kentucky.  Lack of mental health resources and culturally competent clinicians have led to a underutilization of mental health service within the minority/low income community.  Unmet mental health needs  that play a role in youth-related violence, the achievement gap, and several negative other outcomes from unmet needs outlined in the ACE Study (drug abuse, suicide, unwanted pregnancy, and poor decision making).  My goal is to screen more people for mental health needs, connect resources when possible, and provide direct clinical services at no-cost or low cost.
StrategiesHelpWhat are the organization's strategies for its stated long-term goals? Strategies to meet the organizational goals:  universal screenings in community churches, schools, youth programs; developing health fairs around the city; creating a resource directory; conducting culturally responsive training of other mental health providers; providing direct therapy/counseling services in schools, homes, and community centers; partnering with other youth organizations with similar goals; creating print/online material for psycho-educational purposes.  We believe these strategies will be able to reach populations that are traditionally underserved and untrusting of the mental health profession.  Professional Life Coach, Inc. will employ licensed mental health providers and well as community leaders who are from a similar background and will be able to reach this target audience.
CapabilitiesHelpWhat are the organization’s capabilities for doing this? What resources, capacities, and connections support its progress towards long-term goals? Professional Life Coach, Inc.  - organized by a licensed psychologist who is able to provide trauma-informed therapy and who is a certified school psychologist.  When provided mental health services, she is able to accept medical insurance. We are also able to partner to several other mental health professionals, community leaders, spiritual leaders, and resources that are currently involved with the target population.
IndicatorsHelpHow will the organization know if it is making progress? What are the key qualitative and quantitative indicators against which the organization assesses its progress toward its intended impact? Quantitative measures will be used throughout the projects such as PHQ-9, UCLA-PTSD, Suicide Screeners, and BECK Scales will be used as a mental health measure; Qualitative measures such as program completion surveys, interviews, and open-response questionnaires will be used as a measure of program quality.  The primary milestone will be to decrease mental health symptoms.  Another key milestone program success in reaching intended goals and target audience which will be used for program changes/development.
ProgressHelpWhat has and hasn’t been accomplished so far? Professional Life Coach, Inc. is considered a new organization and has not begun programming at this time.
