CEO/Executive Director Statement

The Family Resource Center is a community focused resource that strives to lift the community it serves and motivate those in the community to strive for academic and moral excellence. We seek to achieve this through 6 key goals:

  • Strong leadership
  • Dedicated volunteers
  • Peer and family support
  • Partnership
  • Information
  • Opportunities
The success of The Family Resource Center depends on the governance and dedication to the goals set forth. We as an organization face the challenge of operating a delicate balance that bridges gaps and gives hand up, while avoiding becoming a hindering crutch that cripples those who seek our service.

It is important to us to not only provide a social service, we also want to provide resources that educate, offers a step towards stability, and presents opportunities for better employment. As a result The Family Resource Center is joining the fight along side other Lexington-Fayette non-profits to  provide the at-risk community members with food security and other resources that elevate them out of the cycle of poverty and poverty-like circumstances.
